Finished in gently toasted oak, this cask strength release opens with silky depth and layered sweetness. It’s our first in the new Finished Barrel Series—and it won’t be restocked.
In prohibition-era Golden Pond, Kentucky, Casey designed and built hundreds of copper stills which were renowned for their superior flavor and efficiency. Imprisoned twice for still building, Casey’s legend lives on today through his grandson Arlon “AJ” Casey Jones.
Just in time for Derby, the quintessential Southern cocktail—crisp, aromatic, and bourbon-forward.
2 oz Casey Jones bourbon
8–10 fresh mint leaves
0.5 oz simple syrup
Crushed ice
Lightly muddle mint and simple syrup (or sugar) in the bottom of the glass. Avoid tearing the mint—press to release oils.
Add bourbon and pack the glass tightly with crushed ice.
Stir until the outside of the cup is frosty.
Top with more crushed ice, forming a dome.
Garnish with a fresh mint sprig and dust with powdered sugar if desired.
