At Casey Jones Distillery, we believe that good spirits come in many forms. Some pour from a bottle, others wag their tails, curl up beside us, and stay in our hearts long after they’re gone.
The Spirits of Loyal Companions is our way of celebrating that bond. This special community event honors the pets we’ve loved and the people who devote their time to helping others find their next loyal friend. Together, we’ll dedicate the new Spirits of Loyal Companions Memorial Gate, raise a toast to compassion, and support the local rescues who care for animals in need.
A Day of Remembrance, Rescue, and Community
Join us for a day that blends heartfelt purpose with the welcoming spirit of Casey Jones Distillery. The Spirits of Loyal Companions invites families, friends, and pet lovers to come together in celebration, reflection, and care.
Bring a collar or tag to hang on The Spirits of Loyal Companions Memorial Gate, a permanent tribute to beloved pets who have crossed the rainbow bridge. Spend the afternoon meeting adoptable animals, sharing stories, and enjoying a relaxed Kentucky afternoon filled with good company and good spirits.
On-site experiences include
Pet adoptions, low-cost microchipping, and nail trimming
KK Coney Food Truck serving from 11 AM to 5 PM with proceeds supporting local rescues
Signature cocktails and one alcohol-free mocktail crafted especially for the occasion
Together, we’ll celebrate the lives of the pets we love and the community that stands behind them.
Honoring Loyal Companions
and Those Who Care for Them
At the heart of The Spirits of Loyal Companions is a moment of reflection and gratitude. Together, we will dedicate The Spirits of Loyal Companions Memorial Gate, a wrought iron tribute to the pets who have brought joy, comfort, and unconditional love to our lives.
The ceremony will feature welcome remarks and a community proclamation from Judge Executive Jerry Gilliam and Mayor J.R. Knight, followed by financial presentations to the local rescue organizations that inspire this event. Guests are invited to take part in a community toast as we raise a glass to the spirits that wag their tails, purr softly, and live on in memory.

Together for Those Who Give Animals Hope
Every part of The Spirits of Loyal Companions supports the people and organizations who work each day to rescue, heal, and rehome animals in need. Proceeds from food and bottle sales, along with community donations, will go directly to three local groups that make a difference close to home.
Guests are encouraged to bring donations such as pet food, litter, treats, or monetary gifts to help these organizations continue their work. Every contribution helps a tail keep wagging and a heart find its home.
