An Idea Was Born

One barrel and its incredible journey was the answer.

We started with a high rye bourbon cask and sent it to Buckhorn Creek Winery. There it was filled with freshly produced apricot wine — dry, tannic, uncompromising. The spirit in the wood shaped the wine, the wine left everything it had in the wood.

Then we got the barrel back.

Naturally, we filled it with our high-corn bourbon, sweet and soft. After a month of waiting, that expression became Apricot Wine Finished Bourbon Batch 1.

It sold out to massive applause.

We knew the barrel still had something to say. So we filled it again.

Our mash bill is simple by design. We distill 96% corn, 3% rye, 1% malted barley. It’s sweet, soft, and built to take on everything a barrel has left to give.

Finished at cask strength in a barrel that already had two lives behind it. What came out the other side is Batch 2 — apricot in the background, not the foreground. Fruit you find, not fruit that announces itself.
